Talk to General Surgeon on Inguinal Hernia (might Be)

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Male, 19 years old, Rawalpindi

Hey, I seem to have bulge a near my groin(on the right side) , along with a ball shaped object (can get as big as a golf ball) in side the scrotum. The problem most prominently appears when I have a full stomach and is absent when I wake up. I haven't experienced any pain yet, but I do have some stomach issues(mostly constipation),don't know if it is related. Anyways i am not even sure if it's hernia or not and I haven't consulted any doctor at the moment.

There are different types of swellings in this region. Yes it can be Hernia. But exact diagnosis can be made on clinical examination.

As I have mentioned, above the problem disappears and then reappears over the course of the day. Which makes it difficult for me to actually get a physical examination from the doctor.

Also Doctor should a general surgeon be consulted for the diagnosis? Or any other type of doctor.

Asa, it’s seems that you have an inguinal hernia. It will require surgical repair as it won’t go away in it self. If I can be of any help in Lahore please drop by.

The condition as described by you is most probably a Inguinal Hernia. It should be operated as early as possible because of chances of obstruction and strangulation which is a serious complication of a relatively benign surgical condition. You can visit between10 am to 2 pm in Ahmed Hospital Complex Rawalpindi for examination and treatment plan.

Yes most likely it is inguinal hernia. If it it increases on coughing and disappears on lying down, it is definitely hernia. It has to be operated
