Talk to General Problems on Mouth Ulcers

Aoa, my 7 years old autistic son is having these recurring sores and ulcers at the back of his tounge, doctors do nit know what they are but gave me Nystatin for him, he has already taken nystatin twice since last year November and this is the third time our doctor has prescribed this medication on phone without looking at him, because the clinics in our country are all close due to Covid situation, my question is this that is it really a fungal infection( yeast infection) of mouth or something else?

Thanks for sharing ur concern. I understand that it must be distressing for u as u treated hime with nystatin thrice and he might be having compliance issue as well due to his autism problem. Can u tell me more about the ulcers? are they painful ? Any difficulty or pain in swallowing ? hoarseness of voice ? fever with the ulcers ? decreased food intake when he has them ? Is it by anyway possible to take a picture? Hope it helps, stay home stay safe

Thanks doctor for replying, i have taken pictures, they are not very clear,i can't figure it out how to attach them here,i have also posted this query at Marham's facebook page, and posted the pictures there, yes these ulcers are painful,and last year in November he was spiking low grade fever too, but at that time they were very very bad , and he was having them for two months and doctors were unable to figure out his problem, we all thought that he had tooth infection. But after giving Nystatin the ulcers were gone, the problem is that they do not like like typical yeast infection of mouth, i searched the images on google i these ulcers look different from white patches or white tounge of typical candida.please let me know how can i attach the pictures here.
