Overstretched bladder is always due to an underlying cause. Have an intravenous pyelogram done to see any blockage and rule out surgical causes. Also take opinion from another neurologist as some neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis can cause bladder muscles to not contract properly. Mainstay is to obtain a diagnosis as soon as possible, treat the underlying cause and repair the bladder via surgery. Without treating the underlying cause repair of bladder won’t be useful in long term.
