Talk to General Practitioner on Ivf, Typhoid
Asking for Self, Female, 35 years old, Sahiwal
I started ivf last year. After 1st injection of menogone fever started. On 2nd day it rises to 102 103. After 4 injections drs call off the ivf and ask me to do tests. Typhoid was diagnosed. I completed my medications. Now I started ivf again . Same with 1st injection fever started but not very high. And again diagnosed typhoid. After 8 days of injections ivf call off. My amh level is also very low. For typhoid I m taking medications. Cefixime 400mg one daily for 14 days, Azithromycin 250mg 1+1 daily for one week.guide me pls

the best way to diagnose typhoid is blood culture the typhidot test is not reliable and not diagnostic rule out any other cause of fever avoid taking antibiotics without proper investigations

Hello..!! which test you did to diagnose Typhoid? Fever is not really a side effect of menogon.. What your primary doctor says??
before start treatment of typhoid ,in fever get done blood culture and sensitivity andCBC with ESR .
if diagnosed typhoid . treat it according to senstivity of medicine explained in blood culture. dnt use resistat medication.
it can be due to resistance last time your typhoid is not treated complete hence 2nd time same issue .
