Talk to General Physician on Thyroid Problem
Asking for Self, Female, 48 years old, Karachi
My wife age 48 suffering from hyperthyroid for the past 8+ years and we visited many doctors for the treatment but never it get normal. I have attached her latest thyroid test. Could any doctor please advise / share their experience in treating these level of high thyroid as my wife is in pain all the time like swelling of legs/ arm and face, problem in throat all the time.
Previously in 2003 when 1st time diagonose she was given nuclear medicine to treat.After this she was given thyroxine 50 ranging from 01 - 10 per day and right now the dose is 06 per day thyronorm 100.

You need to visit good endocrinologist immediately..
if thyroxine dose inc withen few days than tepeat TSH after 6 wks .if she is on that dose more than 3 months inc dose of thyroxine to 150mg OD before breakfast
