Asking for Self, Male, 35 years old, Faisalabad
I'm patient of metabolic syndrome for 10 years. Getting medicines for high blood pressure, cholesterol & prediabetes, these are under control except prediabetes. For prediabetes taking Glucophage 850mg 1+1. Earlier Glucophage kept me in normal glucose range now I'm in prediabetes range, fasting is 117 and 2-hour after meal 174. I've read on WebMD that Pioglitazone is used in Prediabetes as it preserve beta cell function & eliminate insulin resistance even at low dose?
Should I add it now at this stage? I also have fatty liver non-alcoholic type.
Thanks
In such cases u are in state of insulin resistance
