Talk to General Physician on High BP
Asking For Mother, Female 54, Karachi
My mother has high BP issue! she takes co renitec in the morning and carvida in the evening, sometimes her BP elevates to 150-160/95 in afternoon, what should we at that time? should we give capotine to lower the BP or should we give carvida in afternoon instead of evening that day?
150/95 is okay no need to worry , change the life style , daily moring and evening 30 mints walk , don't use iodine salt in diet . try to use salt name ( Rite salt ) that is avaliable in Pakistan. it contain sodium very less . I will work InnshaAllah.

capoten is not recomended in this situation. It is better to keep a record to BP of one week Three times a day .Morning ,evening and night. After that the dose may be adjusted.

i always keep a record of her BP, i usually check 4-5 times in a day! this happens (150/90) almost once or twice in a week in afternoon! we used to give capotine whenever that happened! i want to ask one more thing, is it safe to take her for walk in high bp (150/90)!?
