Sir, I just want to know what kind of laboratory tests a healthy person should undertake each year to keep updated. Please advise on name of tests, recommended laboratories in Lahore and an estimated cost.
This is always great to hear from people who want to stay health. It is recommended to have these tests done every year: CBC/ LFTs/ Urine Analysis/ Lipid Profile/ Fasting and Random Glucose. Apart from it we also recommend that Pakistani population should also undergo HBsAg (Hep B) and Anti-HCV (Hep C) once every two years. If there is a familial multi organ cancer history then colonoscopy at 55 yo and CXR at 40 yo. Choose the lab which your physician recommends. Cost is variable among labs.
