Asking for Father, Male, 60 years old, Lahore

Mh father in law was covid positive , he was isolated for 15 days. Hes going to repeat covid test tomorrow Can u please guide what precautions he should take if his test result is negative now? Further isolation for few days ? As he coughs 5-6 times He should avoid kissing babies too? Please guide . As m worried for my baby (14 months) .

hello dear. since your father in law is positive so he can transmit the disease even if test comes negative upto 4-6 weeks of symptoms starting. although the chances will decrease as the days goes past 3 weeks. still you need to ask him to wear mask and keep distance of atleast 2 metres from each family member especially babies. if willing he should eat his meals separate too if thats avoidable. also guys need to motivate him , some good councelling might be needed if his test results comes back negative. hopefully all will be fine.
