Talk to General Physician on Covid Positive
Asking for Husband, Male, 36 years old, Rawalpindi
Assalam Aalikum. My husband got covid positive yesterday, as soon he developed symptoms he got his test done and isolated himself in a room. He is taking Azomax (500mg) once daily, fexet (120mg) daily, vitamin c, serbax Z one tablet daily. He has been vaccinated two months before. I want to know what precautions should be taken for patients who contract covid despite vaccination. He is having severe body ache. Loss of energy. Oxygen according to home oximeter is 95 on the average. The temperature fluctuates between 100-101. Paracetamol is being used every 4-5 hours.
Kindly guide in the light of above mentioned history. What should we do apart from all this? What diet should be taken for regain of strength? Thanks in advance.

Normal home diet but he is taking antibiotic as he is having viral infection plz do xray chest LDH SERUM FERITTIN
start tablet rapicort 5 mg ' 3 tablets in the morning and 3 tablets in the evening after meal for 5 days atleast. but it must be given after meal
Continue isolation of the patient.
Give him one capsule of Sunny D 200 000 units.
Continue Azomax for 5 days and then stop.
Continue Surbex Z once a day, Cac 1000 once a day. Fexet 120 if congestion in nose.
Plenty of oral fluids,steam inhalations, soft diet,soup,fruit,vegetables,khichri,chicken,fish. paracetamol tab 4 or 6 holy depending on fever(do not give more 8 tablets of 500mg ,paracetamol per day)
Most important Continue to monitor with pulse oximeter.
If fever does not settle in 7 days ,go for blood tests like CBC ,CRP,LFT,CREAT,LdH,Serum ferritin D,dimers.
Remdesivir infusion may be needed if high grade fever continues .
Watch oxygen saturation if it drops to below 93 go for hospital management or supervised home management with ambulatory oxygen at home.
