Talk to Gastroenterologist on Moderate Pangastritis
Asking for Self, Male, 23 years old, karachi
suffering from 1 year now, sometimes pain and sometimes burning in the upper abdomen. it goes away while eating something but after eating it comes again. pressing the upper portion of upper abdomen gives a little relief. i have tried homeopathic and herbal treatment also but nothing worked. i left the herbal treatment 2 days ago and started allopethic treatment again. kindly suggest something. the endoscopy was donw more than a year ago, is there a need to do it again because the problem is worse than it was at the time of endoscopy. currently taking ESPRA 40 mg GANATON OD 150mg SEROXAT 25 mg GAVISCON ADVANCE

Hello. No, you do not endoscopy at moment. You do not have any damage within with esophagus which is again diagnosis of gastroesophageal reflux. Your symotoms seem secondary to gaatritits and increased gastric acid production. Since You started on allopathic treatment for now I suggest you to continue with this. Once you well and willing to stop medicine for a while then we can test you for H pylori again. Because H pylori infection is still a possibility despite it was negative in biopsy and stool antigen that you have done year back. You might had antibiotic or PPI at that time while being tested for it.
Continue with current treatment for 2 weekd and let me know then.

Rifaximin can be helpful. if taken for 3 weeks time. Take 200 mg thrice daily for 2 weeks.
colofac is not required.

yes. There is no harm. How long it has been you using seroxate? If not started then do not start it. You can continue with the rest of medicines.

yeah i have this problem but my stomach problem started before it.but doctors say that it effects my stomach.At the time this gastritis started i didnt have any psycic problem.

Take a plenty if water. Approx. 2 to 3 liters. Continue with ispagol. Rifaximin usually cause diarrhea not constipation
