My husband is suffering from intestinal ulcer. This is very painful. He can't eat properly and use toilet 10-15 times a day. Medication did not cure the disease.

Before i suggest anything for your husband, please tell me about the site of this ulcer (small intestine or large intestine) if you know and how was he diagnosed (any tests?)
Is there any bleeding with the stools?
what other associated features does he have?
what medicines he has used so far?

his UC is acting up again..the problem with such cases is the remitting and relapsing course
he should be on medicated enemas and oral medicines
can you plz tell me what medicines he’s taking at the moment?

those are standard medicines for his condition but according to the complaints, his disease isn’t controlled
he should undergo a follow/up colono/sigmoidoscopy and his treatment regimen should be intensified then accordingly
if we’re going to proceed without a follow up sigmoidoscopy, he may be started on a short course of antibiotic and add steroid enemas to achieve remission
