Talk to Gastroenterologist on Abdominal Pain
Asking for Sister, Female, 28 years old, Karachi
History of sudden dull burning pain on right side of abdomen 2 fingers away from umblicus since 1 and half months.localized pain not radiating any where , on and off. Pain continue for 30 minutes or a day .some time pain free for two days. No releiving factors , Nausea and low grade fever with pain .there is cramping on lying supine.. pain increased by lying and early morning when wake up. Allergic to spicy foods too. No history of diarhea and constipation no epigestric pain . Ultrsound abd and pelvis done which was normal, TLc count normal,, LFTs normal.. consulted a gastro doctor 20 days back she has given tab librax 1 Od for a month,, tab fasign 500mg 4 stat ,, tab vermox 1 Bd for 3 days..and tab esso 40mg 1 Od for a week.. took all these medicines and librax took for 20 days up to today.. symptoms improved now there is no cramps no fever and nausea just burning pain which is localized on same point. H.pylori blood test done yesterday which is positive.

I think v need complete Hx, including social and Menstrual Hx and is she married, do urine D/R and if possible do CT whole abdomen and pelvis with contrast plus stool H pylori Ag

Thanks for your response .If patient take h pylori treatment on basis of blood test postve for hpylori. Then what will happen? Is it hazardous ?

Kindly give h.pylori treatment because in these days hospitals are dangerous due to corona virus. I will be very thankfull.lab tests will be done after eid.

Do stool for h pylori antigen..bt stop esso for 10 days before stool sampling...as it will give false negative with use of PPI..

Unmarried , no history of dysmenoria, regular cycle , no burning micturation , normal social lyf.. u/s abdm and pelvis both are normal.. no past history of abdominal pain or epigestric pain. H pylori blood test is postive. Can you recommend medicines? I will be very thankful.

i think u should do Stool H pylori, as blood test is non specific. u also have to do CT scan.
