The specimen is recived in formalin coded as’D2’ and antrum” It consists of three grey white tissue pieces measuring 0.5x0.3 in agg.Entirely submitted in single cassette (SUM). MICROSCOPIC DESCRITION: Microscopic examination was performed. DDIAGNOSIS:D2 and atrum: Fragments of specialized gastric mucosa with mild chronic focally active gastritis with Helicobacter Pylori.No dysplasia noted. A fragment of duodenal mucosa showing intact villous architecture and mild interaepithelial Lymphocytosis. Lamina propria shows moderate Lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate with scattered eosinophils,neutrephils. Giardia are absent.Negative for malignancy.
