Every now and then I wake up with a severe pain in one eye (sometimes left sometimes right). The stabbing pain lasts 15 mins or so and then gets better over time but leads to blurry vision for a couple of days. During the pain and following it, constant water comes out of the effected eye and the same side nose. The eye becomes very sensitive to bright lights.
It's a problem that's been occoring since many years now. Happens once or twice every few months. It could not happen at all for months and then out of no where occur. It usually happens and then gets okay by itself.
It's been happening against since the last few days. It was right eye a few days ago and the left eye now. Currently the eye is extremely red and water is constantly dripping off my nose.
Have showed this to a The doctors usually gave drops. However none could tell me what exactly it is.

Thank you doctor. I visited an eye specialist earlier today and he diagnosed it as Recurrent corneal erosion syndrome. Has given a couple of drops (vigamox and systane) and an ointment (exocin)
I was googling it. There doesn't seem to be a cure to it. Just management. Hope I'm wrong.
