i have a sore throat from last 03 days but from last night it has become extremely painful. i am using below medicines but has no effect. augmenting fexet brufin prospan gargles steam
pls suggest something that can help in immediate pain relief
as history suggests

stop brufen. with COVID causing sore throats, brufen and whole NSAID family of drugs are dangerous and are CONTRAINDICATED.
take 1 teaspoon honey in tea or green tea or warm milk 3 times daily. if taking warm milk, also add cocoa powder 2 teaspoons.
honey is the World Health Organisation recommended treatment for all throat and nose infections.
cocoa increases immunity
stop Brufen and take Panadol for pain
also Covid19 test should be done
COVID tests can v easily be false negative

pharyngitis just means throat infection
any upper respiratory infection will have phayngitis
any infection of mouth, nose, throat (pharyngitis OR laryngitis), tonsils is called upper respiratory infection in medicine. it does not need to have respiratory or breathing difficulty.
medical terms are scientific definitions and do not mean the same thing as English words.
annuva is diclofenac, another NSAID, like brufen.
NSAIDs should be avoided

thank you for responding. i have shown to two doctors, GP & ENT both. ENT has started Klarcid, annuva and Danzen Ds. but so far no effect to throat, pain is still extreme.
