A.o.a.i am dealing with severe thicky mucus in head and throat for last few days.After taking steam ,it is coming from nostrils off and on.Due to steam the right nostrils is little bit better but the left side including forehead area , throat , nostrils are completely blocked.Yesterday the doctor prescribed me the medicine Co amoxi 625mg , panadol and marvel tablets. I have taken these medicine last night.but now in the morning the bloody mucus is coming from left side.also having pain in forehead left side veins throat and feeling pressure on ears.Kindly guide me.
May be acute sinusitis. Co ti ue with meds that have been advised. Tak Coamoxilcav three times per day, tab panadol 1 gm can be taken every 6hourly or take 8 hourly and combine with tab ibuprofen 400mg twice per day if severe pain. Along with these meds add Saline Nasal spray 3/4 puffs on both sides as frequently as you can and Otrivin nasal drops 2 drops three times per day for maximum of 7 days and not more than that. The antibiotic better complete 10 days.

Provisional diagnosis :
Acute Rhinosinusitis
Bleeding indicates the severity of infection. Mostly patients do not need any treatment in acute condition which resolve with in 2 weeks usually but needs antibiotics when there is history of bleeding, fever and severe headache.
Rx.
Tablet. Augmentin 1gm
1 twice a day.
Tablet. Ciproxin 250mg
1 twice a day.
Tablet. Feldene 20mg
1 twice a day.
For one week.
