Asking for Husband, Male, 31 years old, Karachi
My husband has swollen lymph nodes and is insulin resistant. He went to endocrinologist and Doctor has asked for NFLAD ultrasound. Is this going in the right direction? He is confused as how liver is associated with swollen lymph nodes in the neck? Shall we visit another endocrinologist for second opinion?
No . stick with one doctor. Let him diagnose
Lymph nodes are gateway for body response in infection. Any infection is drained to nearest lymph node and defense is activated. Like wise Tonsils, Spleen are defense of body. Lymph nodes get swollen after bacteria are drained from area.
