Talk to Endocrinologist on Hashimoto Thyrodist
Asking for Self, Female, 26 years old, Gujranwala
I was diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroidism from last year.. My Tsh was high but t3 and t4 were normal.. I used thyronorm regularly but my symptoms didn't went away mainly my hairloss and my weight continuously gaining.. my tsh was high high high even increasing dose... Last month i tested for anti tpo and found 222... I m taking revitale time release multi vitamin multi mineral regularly but my weight is at 83...its too much... Brital nails too much hairloss daily... What should i do plz help me... My tsh is 4.27 and t4 is 13.4... Is there any need for thyroid scan? Or any other test?

Hi there. Loss of hair and weight gain are really stressful. These could be due to thyroid dysfunction but there could be other reasons too that can cause weight gain and hair loss. Best thing would be to keep taking your thyroid tablets at the same dose to keep TSH in range. Secondly how are your periods and do you get any acne over face. What other medications you have been taking in the past? You might need some further hormonal tests and physical examination to suggest any further plan.

No i don't have acne problem or periods related issue... I didn't take any medication in the past... Now i m taking multivitamins as i mentioned in my query
