Unfortunately your mother cannot be helped this way. For me to diagnose I need to take careful history of the disorder and then clinical examination of her scalp and skin problems. May be they are unrelated or they may be one disorder with different clinical manifestation.
I would advise you bring your mother for consultation. I would like to see her old treatment prescriptions if you still have it along with blood tests reports. I am working during the lockdown. Please make an appointment thru Marham.

No tests for now. I can only advice which are required only after I have examined her. But if you have her old reports, I would like to see those.
