Talk to Dermatologist on Severe Acne
Asking for Self, Female, 25 years old, Karachi
I have taken azythromycin 100 mg for 14 days, 1 time a day. , my course was completed 8 days back. But no effect on my acne. Now my doctor again prescribed me azythromycin 250 mg for 3 weeks straight, 2 times a day. Is it safe to consume this much azythromycin as it is an antibiotic. Please tell me i am very much concerned.

Asalamwalikum,as there are different forms of acne and different severity and treatment according to that , without watching its not possible to guide you in better way ,because in some conditions we can give prolong antibiotic course ,try to book online video consultation via marham thanks
There are at least 6 types of acne and unfortunately not all meds suits everyone. The doctor had to keep on changing the meds to find the one that suits you. I will request that you visit my clinics so that I examine you and prescribe appropriate meds.
