If you keep on using Vit C creams lotions powder, it will make your skin darker because of its peeling effect.

Thank you dr obaid ur Rehman , i really appreciate the way you explain things to patients , does this rule apply to all other peeling agents too? AHA /BHA are advised and used for peeling skin on monthly basis by dermatologist, retinol is often used daily and increase cell turnover,

Yes to all of them because of high doses of UVA in this part of the world. A just 5 min exposure on a daily basis will give you a darker complexion though the quality of your skin will get better with each peel.

Can using sunscreen daily along with these "actives " help and save from getting darker ? Or should we simply avoid these peeling agents completely

If you really can avoid exposure to UVA and apply broad spectrum sunscreens which includes Infra-red will give you a very good protection.

But then again. If you have a naturally dry skin you cannot have frequent peels because you may get a rash on your face. If one cannot have frequent peels, they're is no point in having peels at all.

Actually a lot depends on the treating doctor. How much he knows and how much is his/her experience.

I am saying this of the professional peels. I don't know much about the home peel kits. This much I know that home kits are very weak solutions.

It depends from skin to skin person to person variation. I generally like Vit C serums. They are pure n give a good start to the skin. But again ur dermatologist is the best judge. The fact tht ur intake of good amount of fruits which has most of vitamins is definitely a good choice.
