Aoa docs... my derm prescribed me FAWOTREX CREAM ( isotretinoin)... is this for active acne or can I apply on old acne marks? Does this cream make u sensitive towards sunlight? If so how long I will be sensitive to sun once I will discontinue its use? Your guidance would mean alot.
Hi. Istretinoin either u take orally or u apply on skin can make ur skin photosensitive. So in any case u have to apply sunblock twice daily and use this formulation topically at night only.
Secondly apply pinpoint on new pimples at night. Never apply on old scars or marks it will burn ur skin.

It will take abt 5-7 days for skin to come to normal if at all it has caused it's side effects. As u were using it at night. Better to consult a dermatologist specially if u wanna continue this medicine. The skin burn is identified with burning sensation n redness in that area.

How long I will remain photosensitive after discontinuation... I m using 0.05% concentration is it too much? Or I was applying on the areas where I got acne for two months? How can I identify whether my skin got burn or not?
