Asking For Mother, Female 60, lahore
AOA
my mother has a Dana on the lower gum, on side of her one teeth (molar) that resembles dental abscess. it was small 3 months before, just night before she felt it slightly big and showed me. she is old and fears dentists v much, and is not agreeing to go to a dentist. can any doctor please tell me which medicine/mouthwash/antibiotic to take to remove this dana? she has no pain in it Alhumdollilah. I can upload picture too if needed.
That 'dana' means there is an infection there which can cause pain sooner or later. No medicine can cure it or 'fix' it since they do not target the root cause. Please counsel her and get her checked at the dentist
plz send the picture
Yes its treatment is possible with proper antibiotic course... U can contact online for the treatment of dental abcess...

Was. it looks that she has developed some granuloma( infection at root end). Usually such teeth are difficult to save. But first get an appointment for proper assessment and treatment. Contact MARHAM for further steps.
Dana will resolve with antibiotics but will reoccur again that need proper treatment of associated tooth
It will re-occur, sadly she has to see dentist for xray so that dentist can tell the real cause...
Apart from that antibiotics can not be prescribed without proper history of patient, you should book online appointment with dentist first, may be your mother will be convinced to see the dentist then.

Dr Fatima Hassan
what I can perceive from your description is that she has to get this tooth removed. please don't load her with medicines.
